For me, yoga is a playful challenge of the best kind. It invites a healthy exhaustion to the body which leads to a healthy liberation of the mind. In my classes, I seek to include a balance of breath and asana; of playful sequencing and mindful stretch. After doing competitive gymnastics and martial arts in my youth, I found that yoga was the perfect marriage of the mental discipline and full body engagement I had loved as a kid. I also teach English and yoga to at-risk teens, and look forward to taking urban kids into the High Sierras wilderness for health and meditation each summer.
